Jan is my hero! We originally hired her to address our invitations, and before long she became our full-fledged wedding coordinator. When all was said and done, she was involved in literally every aspect of the event. From the moment Jan stepped in, I felt like an enormous weight had been lifted from my shoulders. Jan handled everything seamlessly with her typical grace and poise. She was polite and professional with everyone, but she also knew when to push back and how to do it diplomatically and with minimal drama. The end result was far beyond my (admittedly high) expectations. In fact, when the wedding was over, I found myself really missing the multiple conversations we had each day—not only is Jan organized and efficient, but she is also clever and fun and has a terrific sense of humor, so she's just the kind of person you want around you in a stressful situation.

To be perfectly honest, I don't have the faintest idea what Jan did for us at our wedding because my wife was in charge and it made sense for me to just stay out of her hair and let her make the decisions. I can't even believe how beautiful each name and address looks! I want to take a picture of each one. Once I was able to look over the list and process your notes, I realized just how much effort you put in to make sure every name was correct. I've had people, from whom this is quite a statement, say that the invitations are perfectly done and I know your attention to detail plays a VERY big role in that!

We asked Jan to caption an oversized family album. We left the details up to her. She not only did a truly excellent job with the calligraphy, but with the overall aesthetic and the Arabic phrases we challenged her to inscribe. We loved her taste, her precision, and the fact that there is one person left in the country who can actually avoid the obligatory typo. The only condition that we had placed on Jan—an absolutely unreasonable deadline—she beat by miles.

Jan went above and beyond. She went over every detail with great care and offered many valuable suggestions along the way. Our guests remarked that they had never seen a more beautiful and elegant invitation. We would never consider using anyone else's calligraphy services.

Amidst the craziness of wedding planning, Jan was organized, responsive, and helpful. She knows every etiquette rule in the book and is willing to make any and all last-minute changes. Most importantly, her work was absolutely beautiful! She customized a color to match our invitations that we used throughout the wedding. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

I liked so many of Jan’s lettering styles that I had a hard time choosing, so she recommended one that complemented the font on our invitation and it was wonderful. I hired Jan for my son's destination wedding. She added beautiful touches to make the event special, from addressing the invitation envelopes in a matching ink to designing a thank-you card for the place settings, in Italian as well as English. She even hand-painted wooden direction signs for the road. She never made me feel I was asking too much of her—she assured me she likes unusual challenges. And she is super-easy and -fun to work with.

Jan was incredibly meticulous when addressing our envelopes and double- and triple-checked her work with me. She was patient when I had to ask my parents’ friends what their addresses were and even used White Pages to ensure the addresses were correct.
